Tokyo's been saved, the hostile Aliens who were trying to destroy it are gone. Deep Blue
has been dealt with, and Ichigo and Masaya are happy in love. Ryou and Keiichiro still run the Cafe Mew Mew, and are still
doing research on the Mew Project.
Minto, Retasu(Lettuce), Purin(Pudding), and Zakuro have gone back to living at
least semi-normal lives. Things are back to normal, on the outside.
Tart, Kishu, and Pie were healed by the Mews and are now living on Earth with humans. They
wear disguises to cover up their alien attributes. Kish still is infatuated with Ichigo, but he knows she is in love with
Masaya. Tart likes Purin and they have become real good friends. Pie tends to hang back and act more reserve then
the other two. The aliens are looking for a place for their people to live on Earth sonce their numbers are dwindling.
While the aliens were causing trouble in Tokyo, something was happening
overseas. In the USA, a group of researchers associated with the Mew Mew Project have been doing their own research.
A scientist named Kara Shade has discovered the secret of DNA infusion. Secretly she has also been infusing young people
with DNA from the animal kingdom. Her reasons are not at all noble; she is trying to make the perfect warrior to sell to the
highest bidder. On the eve of her first field trial, there was an explosion in a different part of the lab
and the test subjects ran away. When the fire was extinguished and the smoke dissipated, Dr. Shade was no where to be
found. The only thing left of her or her research was a torn and ruined lab coat.
The group that escaped from the lab are scared and on the run. The know they are human and
want to live normal lives, but their animal instincts are telling them to fear those who hurt them. Some of them were nervous
prior to the explosion because they had sensed something evil. A sinister alien force, stronger then Deep Blue,
has begun to infect the Earth. This shadowy EBE will stop at nothing to take over the planet, and reap it for all it's natural
resources. This evil has a sinister strategy, instead of using animals to do their dirty work, they infect people with
animal DNA then turn them into Dark Mew Mews.
One by one test subjects from all over the world, as if guided by their new DNA, are
coming to Tokyo. Can the old and new Mew Mews team up to stop the new darkness that threatens the universe.
